@ 844 The Day of Judgement and the plight of the unbelievers 14:42-52
14:42 Do not think that Allah is unaware of the harm doers work. He only gives them respite till the Day on which all eyes will stare,
# وَلاَ تَحْسَبَنَّ اللَّهَ غَافِلاً عَمَّا يَعْمَلُ الظَّالِمُونَ إِنَّمَا يُؤَخِّرُهُمْ لِيَوْمٍ تَشْخَصُ فِيهِ الأَبْصَارُ 42
14:43 when they shall run with their necks outstretched and heads erect, their glances never return to themselves, their hearts are empty.
# مُهْطِعِينَ مُقْنِعِي رُءُوسِهِمْ لاَ يَرْتَدُّ إِلَيْهِمْ طَرْفُهُمْ وَأَفْئِدَتُهُمْ هَوَاءٌ 43
14:44 Warn mankind of the Day when the punishment will overtake them, when the evildoers will say, 'Our Lord, grant us respite for awhile, we will answer Your call, and follow the Messengers.' Did you not once swear that you would never cease?
# وَأَنذِرِ النَّاسَ يَوْمَ يَأْتِيهِمُ العَذَابُ فَيَقُولُ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا رَبَّنَا أَخِّرْنَا إِلَى أَجَلٍ قَرِيبٍ نُّجِبْ دَعْوَتَكَ وَنَتَّبِعِ الرُّسُلَ أَوَ لَمْ تَكُونُوا أَقْسَمْتُم مِّن قَبْلُ مَا لَكُم مِّن زَوَالٍ 44
14:45 You lived in the dwellings of those who wronged themselves, and it was clear to you how We dealt with them, and how We struck parables for you.
# وَسَكَنتُمْ فِي مَسَاكِنِ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا أَنفُسَهُمْ وَتَبَيَّنَ لَكُمْ كَيْفَ فَعَلْنَا بِهِمْ وَضَرَبْنَا لَكُمُ الأَمْثَالَ 45
14:46 They plotted their plots, but their plots are (known) to Allah, even though their plots were such as to move mountains.
# وَقَدْ مَكَرُوا مَكْرَهُمْ وَعِندَ اللَّهِ مَكْرُهُمْ وَإِن كَانَ مَكْرُهُمْ لِتَزُولَ مِنْهُ الجِبَالُ 46
14:47 Do not think that Allah will break the promise He gave to His Messengers. Mighty is Allah, and Vengeful.
# فَلاَ تَحْسَبَنَّ اللَّهَ مُخْلِفَ وَعْدِهِ رُسُلَهُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ ذُو انتِقَامٍ 47
14:48 On the Day when the earth is changed into other than the earth and the heavens, all shall come before Allah, the One, the Conqueror.
# يَوْمَ تُبَدَّلُ الأَرْضُ غَيْرَ الأَرْضِ وَالسَّمَوَاتُ وَبَرَزُوا لِلَّهِ الوَاحِدِ القَهَّارِ 48
14:49 On that Day, you shall see the sinners coupled together in fetters;
# وَتَرَى المُجْرِمِينَ يَوْمَئِذٍ مُّقَرَّنِينَ فِي الأَصْفَادِ 49
14:50 their garments shall be of melted tar, and their faces enveloped by the Fire.
# سَرَابِيلُهُم مِّن قَطِرَانٍ وَتَغْشَى وَجُوهَهُمُ النَّارُ 50
14:51 Allah will recompense each soul according to its earnings. Swift is the Reckoning of Allah.
# لِيَجْزِيَ اللَّهُ كُلَّ نَفْسٍ مَّا كَسَبَتْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَرِيعُ الحِسَابِ 51
